It started so quickly and ended so soon and i am left with the pieces....what do i do??

Ok here is how it all went down....in sept i met this guy at a party thru friends and we had an instant connection, and ended up kissing at the end of the night. From there, we had an xtrmly intense 2 wks, constant txtng from him, talking and hanging out all the time at our dorms, all he talked about was how he just wanted me to give him a chance to be my bf (bc i had recently gotten out of a 3 yr relationship) and i was unsure, i wanted to take it slow...etc. So one thing led to another and we ended up having (just once) and things progressed from there but then about a week later he has like a mental breakdown from stress (frat, work, school). He said he was confused "about himself" and things went downhill from there.
